Orlando joined Tollefson Bradley Mitchell & Melendi, LLP in 2022. He has extensive pre-litigation and litigation experience and has handled cases representing both companies and individuals in civil actions in state and federal courts. Orlando’s practice areas include first party and third-party coverage litigation (personal and commercial policies) and catastrophic injury litigation.


Education

Orlando received his undergraduate degree from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas, graduating with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. While at St. Mary’s, Orlando was awarded the merit based Presidential Scholarship for his academic performance. He earned a Master of Science degree at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, and published his thesis, “Factors Responsible for Loss to Follow Up in a Longitudinal Study Comparing Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery and Percutaneous Coronary Intervention,” which examined and identified factors associated with study subject loss to follow up in cardiovascular clinical research studies. Orlando earned his law degree from Loyola University College of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana. While at Loyola, Orlando was awarded a merit-based scholarship for his academic performance. He worked for the Office of the General Counsel at Loyola, and was selected to participate in Loyola’s Prosecution Clinic, where he worked as a student attorney in the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office.


Admissions

Orlando is admitted to practice law in Texas. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas.
